John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum: Exploring Legacy and History

Though President John F. Kennedy traveled worldwide, Hyannis Port was his home base from age 9 until his death in 1963. The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum located in the town today, is dedicated to the legacy of President Kennedy, his family, and their deep connection to Cape Cod.

Exhibits and Galleries

The museum features four exhibit galleries and rotating special exhibits, offering visitors a glimpse into JFK's upbringing on Cape Cod and his presidency. During his presidency, the Cape provided a sanctuary for rest and family time. Recent exhibits have included a collection about JFK Jr.'s life, an exhibit covering Robert F. Kennedy's early years and political career, and a long-term exhibit showcasing JFK's presidential summers on Cape Cod through personal family photos and artifacts.

Visitor Impressions

Despite its small size, the museum leaves a lasting impression on visitors with its extensive collection of photographs and videos of the Kennedys. Many find the collection to be an educational and moving tribute to one of America's favorite presidents and his legendary family.

Hours of Operation

The museum operates from January through mid-April, open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
