The term "aquarium" doesn't fully capture the breadth of this attraction. While it does feature a variety of aquatic species like fish, stingrays, eels, and octopuses, the Dallas World Aquarium also hosts a range of terrestrial animals. Visitors can see sloths, monkeys, and toucans, among other unique inhabitants. The aquarium's vast rainforest allows you to observe birds in free flight, and the Mundo Maya exhibit offers a glimpse of lizards, snakes, and bats around a cenote.

Visitor Experience

Recent visitors have expressed surprise at the extensive array of animals, finding it a great alternative to the Dallas Zoo, particularly during the sweltering summer months. However, some guests mention that the aquarium can become crowded, especially during school vacations. Additionally, while some feel that the admission fee is steep, many believe the experience justifies the cost.

Location and Accessibility

The aquarium is conveniently housed in a repurposed warehouse just a few blocks from the West End light rail station, serviced by the Blue, Green, Orange, and Red DART Rail lines. It is also easily walkable from most downtown locations.

Operating Hours

The Dallas World Aquarium welcomes visitors daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry allowed at 4 p.m.

Admission Fees
