Discover Marine Life at the Marine Science Center
Introduction to Marine Science Center
If you're going to spend time at the beach, why not take some time to learn about the creatures who live beneath the ocean's surface, and in the surrounding waterways and ecosystems? Since its opening in 2002, the Marine Science Center has been dedicated to educating both locals and visitors about the environment, making them stewards of coastal protection. Attractions at the center include informative exhibits, a touch tank, multiple aquariums, and an observation tower.
Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation
Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation is a crucial part of the Marine Science Center's mission. Visitors can witness these efforts firsthand on the Bird Boardwalk and Turtle Terrace, where sea turtles receive care until they can hopefully be released back into the wild.
Visitor Experiences
Recent visitors have shared that the center is an amazing experience, praising the friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Many have highlighted petting the sting rays in the touch tank as a memorable part of their visit.
