Insider Tips for Dining Before a Show
U.S News Insider tip: There's no shortage of delicious restaurants to dine at before a show. A couple of my favorites include Tamayo (for Mexican, and a fantastic bottomless brunch) and Panzano (for Italian). – Leilani Osmundson
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts
With a wide range of productions across eight theaters, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) offers entertainment for everyone.
Broadway Shows
DCPA Broadway features touring Broadway shows, from "The Book of Mormon" to Disney's "The Lion King."
Local Productions
The Tony Award-winning DCPA Theatre Company presents plays, musicals, and more created in-house. With over 400 productions created since 1979, you can expect spectacular shows that rival those on Broadway.
Cabaret and Immersive Experiences
Enjoy a lively cabaret show at the Garner Galleria Theatre with DCPA Cabaret, or immerse yourself in an experience like "MONOPOLY LIFESIZED: Travel Edition" with DCPA Off-Center. Whether attending a world-renowned play at the Buell Theatre or a musical performance at the opulent Ellie Caulkins Opera House, DCPA offers numerous options to enjoy theater.
Tips for Visiting
From "Hamilton" to "Swan Lake," DCPA show attendees appreciate the variety of genres offered. The talent featured in the performances is unmatched. Take some time to admire the glass-covered open-air complex and walk around before your show begins. Parking can be challenging, so consider arriving early if you plan to park in the main garage or choose another parking option in Denver. The beautiful and clean theaters, incredible performances, and helpful staff make DCPA a phenomenal cultural institution.
DCPA shows take place at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, a 12-acre campus that also houses the Colorado Ballet, Colorado Symphony, and Opera Colorado. Most entrances to DCPA theaters are located in the glass-covered atrium in downtown Denver.
