Introduction to the Hoh Rain Forest
With an annual rainfall ranging from 140 to 170 inches, the Hoh Rain Forest is a lush, green wonderland. Mosses and ferns blanket every tree and surface, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The National Park Service (NPS) touts it as one of the finest examples of temperate rainforest remaining in the United States, making it one of Olympic National Park's most popular attractions. Visitors have described their experiences as reminiscent of fairy tales, with one likening it to a "Hansel and Gretel-type of feeling" and another to an enchanted forest.
