Opened in 2018, this 66-acre waterfront park, located along the Arkansas River, offers a wealth of attractions for residents and visitors alike. It features sports courts, a skate park, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and a variety of gardens.

Recreational Facilities

Gathering Place is home to a beach and a pond where visitors can rent paddleboats, kayaks, or canoes. The park also boasts the 5-acre Chapman Adventure Playground specifically designed for families with young children. Adjacent to it is Slide Vale, a network of four slides, with one going underground, and Swing Hill, which features a variety of swings and offers stunning views of the park and the Arkansas River.

Practical Information

Gathering Place is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, certain attractions like the Water Maze at Mist Mountain are only open seasonally. While entry to Gathering Place is free of charge, there is an admission fee for Discovery Lab, the on-site children's museum. Free parking is available on Williams Way, near Williams Lodge and ONEOK Boathouse. In addition to restrooms, several dining venues are also available at the park.
