Introduction
McKinney Falls serves as a natural retreat for many residents of Austin. Onion Creek provides ideal spots for swimming during the hot summer days, and as a bonus, fishing is permitted without the need for a state fishing license. Besides the creek, the park offers nearly 9 miles of trails that guide hikers and bikers through limestone formations and wooded areas. After a day full of activities, visitors can relax at one of the park's 81 campsites or six cabins.
