Introduction
Once the fairgrounds of Knoxville's 1982 World's Fair, today this space has transformed into a public park. It is home to the Sunsphere and the Tennessee Amphitheater, the two remaining structures from the exposition. Visitors and locals alike praise the park as a splendid venue for shows, picnics, or leisurely strolls.
Activities
Festival Lawn
The 2-acre Festival Lawn is a versatile area that hosts a variety of events including concerts and festivals.
Performance Lawn
The enormous Performance Lawn, comparable to the size of more than two football fields, offers a natural amphitheater-like setting, making it ideal for concerts, festivals, parties, and other gatherings.
Splash Pads
A popular feature of the park is the Splash Pads, a fun water attraction available from mid-April to early October. However, availability can be weather-dependent.
Hours and Admission
The park is open daily for free from 6 a.m. to midnight. Note that festivals and other special events may have admission fees.
