Located in New Orleans City Park, the Louisiana Children's Museum is a 56,000-square-foot playtopia that features hands-on exhibits covering a variety of topics, from food to nature. The museum also hosts numerous events, including near-daily story times and holiday-related activities.

Regular Hours

The museum is situated north of the French Quarter in the Mid-City neighborhood and operates from Wednesday to Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Summer Hours

During the summer months, the museum is available to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pricing Information

General admission to the museum is $18 per person. Seniors and active military personnel with ID can enter for $15, while infants 11 months and younger enter for free. On the second Sunday of every month, the museum offers free admission. Note that timed-entry tickets are required for all visits.

Guests can take advantage of free parking in the designated guest parking lot located off Henry Thomas Drive. For those opting for public transportation, the museum is conveniently accessible via several bus routes (No. 27, No. 60, No. 90, and No. 91) and the Canal-City Park streetcar line.
