While there are food trucks available, for a proper meal, you’ll need a reservation on such a busy night. Consider booking at favorites like Jake’s (make sure to save room for a slice of cake), Workshop Kitchen & Bar, Farm, Birba, Tropicale, and Palmina By Puglia. – Emily Hochberg
Experience VillageFest in Palm Springs
Every Thursday evening, Palm Springs becomes the place to be with its renowned VillageFest. This weekly nighttime street fair completely shuts down Palm Canyon Drive to traffic, making way for pedestrians to peruse artisan vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and savor dishes from a variety of local food trucks. Many businesses along the street also stay open late, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
No Entrance Fee and Tempting Vendors
There’s no entrance fee for VillageFest, and it’s a delightful experience even if you’re not planning to buy anything. However, with over 180 vendors offering unique jewelry, art, woodworks, clothing, and more, you’ll likely be tempted to indulge in some shopping.
Where is Palm Springs VillageFest?
VillageFest predominantly runs along Palm Canyon, but its perimeter also includes Indian Canyon Drive and Belardo Road. This provides ample room for crowds, especially during the high season, to walk or dance through the streets. Street performers, ranging from classic guitarists to marching bands, add to the lively ambiance depending on the day.
What time is VillageFest?
VillageFest takes place throughout the year on Thursday evenings. From October to May, it runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. During the warmer months of June to September, it starts an hour later, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., to take advantage of the cooler temperatures after the sun sets behind the mountains.
