Telluride Ski Resort encompasses Mountain Village, a modern town that was originally developed to complement downtown Telluride, inspired by European ski resorts. Situated more than 9,500 feet above sea level in the San Juan Mountains, Mountain Village boasts numerous shops and restaurants along its pedestrian-friendly streets and plazas in the Village Center. Scenic Gondola Rides

One of the highlights of visiting Mountain Village, apart from the skiing, is taking a ride on the scenic gondola. This gondola shuttles visitors between Telluride and Mountain Village, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains from an altitude of 10,500 feet. Riders commend the gondola for being clean and well-maintained, making it a dependable mode of transportation. Best of all, the gondola ride is completely free.

Although you don't need to pay to explore Mountain Village, keeping your credit cards handy is advisable given it’s a resort town. The gondola operates from 6:30 a.m. to midnight daily during the winter and summer months. Telluride Adventure Center

The Telluride Adventure Center in Mountain Village serves as the central hub for booking outdoor activities for both winter and summer. During winter, it offers Kids Snow Camp, snow bike rentals, guided snowshoeing, and even heli-skiing. In the summer, children’s camps are available for ages 5 to 14, as well as attractions like a giant trampoline jump and gemstone mining on Heritage Plaza. Bookable guided adventures with local outfitters include 4x4 tours, paddleboarding, via ferrata, rock climbing, fly fishing, and horseback riding.

Summer Activities
