Overview
If you are a history or military buff, this museum is a must-see. The Palm Springs Air Museum boasts an extensive collection of aircraft from World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars, ranging from the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress to the Grumman F7F Tigercat to the Douglas DC-3 Skytrain. The aircraft are positioned throughout the museum, not unlike the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
Highlights
The air-conditioned museum is an excellent indoor activity to escape the heat in warmer months. Furthermore, the museum employs many informative and friendly volunteers who are eager to share incredible insights and history. To make the most of your visit, it is recommended to set aside several hours to explore thoroughly.
